Constantina Tomescu-Dita, 38, Romania, gold in women's marathon;
Dana Torres, 41 United States became oldest Olympic swimming medalist;
Ian Millar, 61 Canada equestrian silver medal and oldest medalist of the Beijing Games;Jeannie Longo-Ciprelli, 49 France 4th place cycling road time trial;
Haile Satayin, 48 or 53, Israel, oldest runner in men's marathon 69th place at 2:30.07;
Luan Jujie, 50, Canada, fencing 32nd in women’s individual foil;
Iain Murray, 50, Australia 14th in keelboat racing;
Nick Skelton, 50, UK 7th team equestrian competition and 29th in the individual event;
Richard Johnson, 52, United States, archery, but didn't make the final;
Libby Callahan, 56 United States 25th in the 25-meter pistol;
Susan Nattrass, 57, Canada, oldest shooter to compete at the Beijing Games, 11th in trap-shooting;Laurie Lever, 60, Australia, equestrian failed to qualify for the final round; and
Hiroshi Hoketsu, 67, Japan, dressage, 35th in the individual competition.
I know a few of these seem a bit young, but over all a great showing for the athletes at age.
